Due to the large number of calls for prescription refills, we ask that you call your pharmacy first to get your refill. The pharmacy will then forward the request to us for authorization. Please allow us 24 hours to fulfill you request. All prescriptions for controlled substance that need to be hand written are to be obtained at the clinic and they are your responsibility to hand-carry to your pharmacy.
We want to make things as easy for you as possible. By following the steps indicated above, we will be better able to serve you and your family.
Make sure when you start running low on your medications, that you call your pharmacy for a refill. It is advisable to request a refill of your medication when you have a 7 day supply remaining. This is a good practice to ensure that you do not run out of your medication.
Mail Order Prescriptions
Patients who will be using a mail order pharmacy benefit need to inform their provider at the time of their office visit. Since most mail order pharmacies prefer a written prescription for a 3 month supply with refills for a year, it is required that all new mail order requests be made at an office visit. This is to insure that your provider can review your medications and the conditions that require those medications.
All patients are required to be seen at least once each year to renew medications. Sometimes, more frequent follow-up is needed to determine progress and the need for medication change. We understand that this may pose an inconvenience to you, however, we feel that it is in the best interest of your health.
