The way we
care about our patients makes our pharmacy different. We have
the ability to solve the most difficult medicine problems,
differentiating us from other pharmacies. We match medications
to patients, rather than matching patients to medications...including
both human and animal patients. Through patient education and
advice, we hope to become your "Problem Solver."

Specialized
Dosage Forms
Medications
can be compounded into dosage forms that are most appropriate
to treat each patient.
- Desired active
ingredient(s) can be compounded into creams, ointments and
gels for topical or
transdermal administration. In order for medications to be
absorbed tansdermally
, it is critical that an appropriate base and proper compounding
technique be used. Medication can be easily measured using
an oral-topical dispenser.
- Convenient
applicators can be used to deliver medication directly to an
affected site, such
as
the lips. Compared to oral administration, less active
ingredient(s) may be required when a medication is applied
topically and
the risk of systemic side effects can be minimized.
Lollipops
Lollipops provide
an effective means of holding medication in contact with
the oral mucosa and are also an appealing dosage form
for children.
Suppositories
Suppositories
remain one of the most popular dosage forms. Unique designs
such as the "rectal rocket" enable simultaneous internal and
external medication administration.
Troches
Troches can
be placed between the cheek and gum to dissolve. Medication
can be absorbed through the mucosa, providing another
alternative to oral administration. Flavored gelatin forms can
be chewed
and swallowed.
