Great Plains Surgery Center

Great Plains Clinic was the first in the state to establish a Medicare approved freestanding outpatient ambulatory surgery center in 1983.

The surgery center is equipped with a full operating staff of nurses to assist during the surgery and to care for the patient while in the recovery room. The center also has a CRNA on staff to provide any necessary anesthesia during the procedure.

During 2003, over 1100 outpatient surgeries were performed. Some of the surgeries available are colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hernia repair, carpal tunnel release, tubal ligation, biopsy, cataract and laser eye surgery.

The surgery center operates Monday-Friday during normal clinic hours.
