Great Plains Clinic, P.C. is the first in the state to establish a Medicare approved freestanding outpatient ambulatory surgery center in 1983.
The surgery center is equipped with a full operating staff of nurses to assist during surgery and to care for the patient while in the recovery room. The center also has a CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist) on staff to provide any necessary anesthesia during the procedure.
Some common procedures performed include, but are not limited to, colonoscopies, esophagogastroduedeoscopies (EGD), flexibe sigmoidoscopies, hernia repairs, carpal tunnel releases, tubal ligatioins, biopsies, cataract and laser eye surgeries.
